Montgomery Island Hunting
Club, Inc., A Mississippi corporation, was incorporated on April 1,
1981. The principal business office of the corporation is at P.O.
Box 515 Greenwood MS 38935. The Hunting Club ownes approximately 4000
acres of prime Mississippi river timber, located in Desha County,
Arkansas. The Island is 3 miles northwest of Rosedale, Mississippi.
The Island is bordered on the east by the Mississippi river and on
the west by the Old White river. Access to the Island is by boat or
Airplane. |
Montgomery Island offers
first class hunting for deer, turkeys, bear and many small game animals.
Members and their guest can also enjoy fishing the lakes on the property
or they may choose to fish the Mississippi or the Old White. |
Work
Day Due to the conditions resulting from the high floodwaters, the board believes that a percentage of the flood plots will need to be re-planted. The debris left by the receding water will need to be removed prior to planting. There possibly could be a few roads that will need clearing as well. If there is enough interest/participation, a work day is tentatively scheduled for next Saturday May 17 2008. |
